About the Project
Understanding Street graphics and in context of sociology. The project was to create a ciultural toolbar that will be a plug-in to various graphic and web design softwares. The responsibilities included conducting user study, and visual ethnography.

Design Process and Solutions:
In order to get a better understanding of the society in which the study was done, we explored the various areas of the city on foot, clicking pictures of the various symbols that appeared. We also looked into the historical and cultural significance of these symbols.

Having professional designers in mind we found that there is a real need for them to have a cultural companion. Due to the shear vastness of the country, and the immensly varied culture of the people, designers often face a challende in moulding their work to the needs of the local users.

The solution proposes a central database of exhaustive information about the 28 sttes of the nation that might be required by designers.  A prototype to illustrate the solution was executed on Flash.
