About HIVE:
“The Hive” (“The Highly Interactive Versatile Environment”) provides an end-to-end solution for the Rewards and Loyalty business areas. This portal acts as a window to the different client to this rewards based system. HIVE is intergrated with the Argos business Solution website and the databases are connected. The portal allows personalization based on the company that the user belongs to. Based on the number ot loyalty points that a user has collected, they can exchange the points to purchase goods or convert points to money.

Design Process:
The project started by going through the existing business solution website. Then a peer review was conducted on websites of organizations dealing with e-commerce. After this we did some low fidelity prototypes and sketches to generate ideas for the interface. The categorization of the goods and products were left untouched and the data was taken from the e-commerce website of Argos.
After this was done, we started creating wireframes. This was then made to go numerous iterations after constant feedback from the client. This was followed up with the Visual Designs.

Solution:
The solution revolved around making the interface easier to navigate and give the user a clear indication of their purchase and point status. The idea was to make the interface more classy and suave , which the clients termed as ‘englishness’. The key features of the interface involved creating a template based design, tha could change its color based on the company that the user belongs to. For eg, if a user is from th Coco-Cola Company, in place of Oxygen, the layout would support a red style. This decision of color was decided to be made in accordance with the color that the company associated itself with.
